Is Sam Bankman-Fried the largest loser of all times ?
Yes, according to this sheet.

This is not about the news on failed latest crypto billionaire, more a discussion about the largest trading losses. Why they did happen ? (only some failed risk management or more organized fraud ?) What were the circumstances around them and other topics. Anyone knows here something is invited to contribute as it can get interesting.

Sounds like he did more for USA than all the talking snake media of his day, combined ; which did cartoons of him as a high crowned king .:D:D
 
You know, now that I think of it. Hwang lost 20 billion in only 48 hours... SBF only has a hole of 10 billion or so missing in the balance sheets.

This makes Hwang still the 2x the king of losses. However, I am willing to bet there may be just as many charges (or 2x as much) laid against SBF than Hwang got. What do you think?

 
Jesse Livermore lost several fortunes...dude was easily a billionaire equivalent for his time and got smoked to the point of suicide :(

Imagine going from billionaire to broke...I lose a couple thousand and ready to leave my truck idling in the garage with the doors shut.

Just imagine...By the year 2050, when all cars/trucks are electric and all the ICE clunkers no longer function, that suicide method will no longer be an option. What a sad state of affairs.
