Well Matt buddy, that's all good and fine, except time horizons can vary among participants. I have postiions exited the next day and I have positions held years. One either covers my overhead or corrects an error. The other capital formation with a touch of tax avoidance.

When a clown without invitation divulges his "net worth" dwarfs someone else, with knowing next to nothing about the other, you (and whoever) should be able to draw their own conclusions.

Argument? I've got nothing to prove. I trade with (or in some cases against) a specialist not a long horns. What I have is a stalker who devotes a great deal of time to me in spite of his lofty net worth. Makes sense.

Yep, I indeed have a loss in CFC. No rationalizing it away. Mis-gauged what I thought was support. Damage is done. No point in cutting the loss now. And, to reiterate, float has turned completely and all owned somewhere. My money says.......................the specialist has a chunk.

At wholesale levels. With the intent of eventually distributing retail. When? Don't know. I do know it's worth what he'll bid for it. Today it's $11.14. I also know he's able to gap it in accordance with his agenda. And, I know I'll be there.

As for the spreadsheet nonsense.....

A buy and hold trader (or "bag holder" as in your CFC position) might have time to input their handful of trades onto a spreadsheet (especially since you have nothing else to do living on a farm in Nebraska). However, there is no way that I would have time to input all of my trades onto a spreadsheet.

P.S.-- Can you tell us some more cool stuff about your multiple account statements? You must be Warren Buffett's neighbor

Seriously, you bought CFC in the 30's and you're still long? Yikes, why not average down here? This thing may never see 30 again. At least trade around a sunk posistion.

CFC opens at $12, up 25%. I am long 200 shares of CFC at $8.76 avg from 2 weeks ago. Bought 50 at $8.25 on that spike down day. Low was $8.21. This may take a couple years, but I guess I'll sell covered calls in the meantime.

May head lower, but that gap up probably had the shorts in a panic. CFC has 112M shares short, and they have to cover sometime...

Hopefully I'll have a chance to buy a boatload before Paulson tries to bailout the industry.

The same way the BOA gap up in August had them in a panic. The same way the earnings gap up in October had them in a panic.
 
Good thing I've been holding these longs and don't listen to advice on Elite Trader...

CFC is a mondo company, they don't just disappear over night Enron style, the government will be there to help them if the shizz hits the fan!~

avg long price is $9.03...gonna keep holding these! How many pages ago was someone trying to say that CFC wouldn't see $15-20 for a long time???
