Say goodbye to barrier beaches and coastal salt marshes

if you are going to respond you need to acknowledge the truth.
just google it.

between the gas leakage and the amount of carbon being produced by air conditioners your business is estimated to be responsible for 25% of man made global warming.

I have shown you the links.
You are an eco terrorists troll many of us who try to conserve the environment in a real way.

One thing I like about my job is that I change out old inefficient HVAC systems for new high efficiency equipment with the electric/carbon cost being reduced by 60%. That is no small amount. We can also thank the govt for the new standards. I do no new construction.

Apparently jerm wants me to just tell my customers to not replace their A/C systems. Just another example of how insane he is.

During normal use the new refrigerant r410 never needs replenishing. There is very little leakage. It's too expensive to let go.

I don't know why I'm even bothering to respond to his raving.

I found the science reference in the past.
But, your sides oracle... says so. So its fair to use it against you.

Air-conditioning gases are regulated primarily though a 1987 treaty called the Montreal Protocol, created to protect the ozone layer. It has reduced damage to that vital shield, which blocks cancer-causing ultraviolet rays, by mandating the use of progressively more benign gases. The oldest CFC coolants, which are highly damaging to the ozone layer, have been largely eliminated from use; and the newest ones, used widely in industrialized nations, have little or no effect on it.
But these gases have an impact the ozone treaty largely ignores. Pound for pound, they contribute to global warming thousands of times more than does carbon dioxide, the standard greenhouse gas.

Fair enough, but all this is just what someone at the NYT wrote. Show me the actual science.

thats a tough thing... because there is no science showing man man co2 causes warming...
so the question is... is there science showing these coolants really warm?

I just saw that Obama is trying to phase them out.
So... there is probably no truth to the claim.
But it does make Fraudcurrents more of an a eco terrorist.

The class of chemicals to which R-134a belongs — called hydrofluorocarbons, or HFCs — became popular as a replacement for Freon, the refrigerant banned since the 1990s for damaging the Earth’s ozone layer. Most HFCs are harmless to ozone, but collectively they have become a significant driver of climate change — some are up to 10,000 times as potent per ounce as carbon dioxide, climate scientists say.

The steps unveiled this week are intended to accelerate the phaseout of most types of HFCs while still allowing manufacturers time to shift to more environmentally friendly replacements. If fully implemented, the measures would have an impact equivalent to removing 15 million cars from the nation’s highways for a decade, according to an administration official familiar with details of the plan.

has been seeking since 2010 to phase out production of HFCs, both through voluntary agreements as well as proposed new amendments to the Montreal Protocol, the treaty that outlawed Freon two decades ago. The initiatives to be announced Tuesday would expand the effort by securing the cooperation of a Who’s Who list of U.S. companies, ranging from major chemical manufacturers such as DuPont to some of the biggest users of refrigerants, such as Coca-Cola and PepsiCo and the retailers Target and Kroger.

Among the voluntary participants is a coalition of chemical manufacturers representing 95 percent of U.S. production of HFCs. The companies have agreed to rapidly introduce replacement coolants into the market while taking additional steps to prevent leaks of R-134a into the environment, the administration official said. Coca-Cola, meanwhile, is expected to announce a goal to purchase only HFC-free refrigerators and cooling systems throughout its global network. Several of the companies had already begun making the shift to alternative coolants, responding to new restrictions on HFCs in the European Union as well as economists’ predictions of an eventual ban in the United States. One leading alternative to R-134a — called HFO-1234YF — can be used in most existing cooling systems without significant modifications.

Imagine - the clown that rails endlessly against "global warming" in P&R is ET's worst eco-terrorist.

I know... I try to walk a mile in the other man's moccasins before I rip him... unless he is a politician. So I don't really dig at et's carbon producer too much... because I could see myself doing what he does.

I just can't see being an agw troll and selling HFCs for a living. really... I would just shut up and not be an agw troll while I made my living.

So why keep on FC about his "2000 times more powerful" greenhouse gas?

Because Futurecurrents fervently believes like other AGW religious fanatics that man-made greenhouse gases is causing dangerous global warming - yet he is the peddler of some of the most potent greenhouse gases - filling his pockets will ill-gained profits while destroying our children's future (according to the philosophy he proclaims).

Futurecurrents demands that we all change our behaviors, destroy our economy, and fill the pockets of Al Gore & his ilk with cash -- all the while ignoring the real environmental issues facing mankind -- just so he can be smugly satisfied in his worship of his "climate change" idols while declaring those opposed to his perspective to be "denier" heretics.

So you believe those gases are "potent greenhouse gases"?

Let's imagine for a minute that the fantasy that man-made CO2 green house gas causes dangerous global warming was true (the reality is that CO2 is much-need plant food) - don't you think an advocate of this position would not be pushing substances for a living that were 2000 times more potent than CO2?

So what's your answer, do those gases, those molecules, have the physical properties that scientists say they have, or not?
