savings a/c with IB

How can I create a savings a/c with IB ?. I have a portfolio margin a/c and if I have a savings a/c with them , it will be easier to tranfer cash quickly. I can buy some shares in the savings a/c and earn some dividends.Thanks

IB is not a bank. Banks have savings accounts. You can't buy stocks in a savings account, only a brokerage account.

buy something like this(or whatever fits your risk tolerance) and trade on margin. if you want to write a checks and do some banking and buy\hold shares at same time-got to citi or something like that. IB is discount broker for a sake.
