Save the Children says 2000 children already killed in Gaza

“Israel waged the war on Gaza on October 7, after the territory’s resistance movements carried out a surprise attack against the occupying entity, dubbed Operation al-Aqsa Storm, in response to unrelenting Israeli crimes against Palestinians.”

It's an accurate statement and provides better context for the story than most of what you read in the Western press, and judging from what is happening on the diplomatic front and at the UN, most of the world agrees.

You are an idiot. This is just one of many outlets that report the news. In fact this report is more honest than ANYTHING American news outlets report. You can verify the facts by checking directly with Belgian news outlets. Of course only if you understand French or Flemish unless you want to rely on external translators.

How low do you have to sink to peddle Press TV from Iran? Of course, you know it is a crap source which is why you don't provide the url in clear text.

Press TV – Bias and Credibility

Overall, we rate Press TV Questionable based on the promotion of Iranian Propaganda and Conspiracies related to the West and poor sourcing and the publication of fake news.

History
Founded in 2007, Press TV is a 24-hour English language news and documentary network and website affiliated with the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB). IRIB is state-owned but independent of the Iranian government and is the only legal TV and radio broadcaster inside Iran. Press TV’s headquarters are located in Tehran.

The stated mission of the network is best summarized by Press TV CEO Mohammad Sarafraz when he said at a press conference that, “Since September 11, Western bias has divided the media into two camps: those that favor their policies make up one group and the rest of the media are attached to radical Islamic groups like Al-Qaeda. We want to show that there is a different view. In particular, Iran and the Shi’as have become a focal point of world propaganda. From the media point of view, we are trying to give a second eye to Western audiences.”

On 6/22/2021, PressTV was one of 30 domains seized by the US Government based on perceived security threats. The website returned with a new domain @ PressTV.ir.

Please read our report on how Government influences the media in Iran.

Funded by / Ownership

Press TV is state-funded and is a division of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB). The head of the IRIB is appointed by the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Analysis / Bias
According to Reporters Without Borders, Iran is ranked 170 out of 180 countries for press freedom. They report, “Iran has been one of the world’s most repressive countries for journalists for the past 40 years. State control of news and information is unrelenting, and at least 860 journalists and citizen journalists have been imprisoned or executed since 1979.”

In review, Press TV is an Iranian propaganda TV network and website. Several credible media outlets have criticized Press TV, such as The Guardian, who described Press TV as “the controversial 24-hour news channel funded by the Iranian government.” British journalist Nick Cohen has called the station “a platform for the full fascist conspiracy theory of supernatural Jewish power.” The right-leaning Washington Examiner has described them this way “If you like crackpot conspiracy theories or you’re interested in what the Iranian government wants you to believe, then pay a visit to Press TV!”

A news article review demonstrates a mixture of true unbiased news reporting such as this Democratic candidates may boycott debate due to strike. In contrast, others are overt conspiracy theories negative toward the west such as this: Trump is completely controlled by criminal Zionists: Writer. This article is not sourced and makes debunked 9/11 conspiracy claims such as this “Evidence has proven that the 9/11 attacks were planned, carried out, and covered up by neocon factions in the US government with heavy Israeli impetus. Yet the official narrative still implicates 19 fictional hijackers, of which 15 were said to be Saudi nationals.” In general, if it involves the USA or Israel, you can bank on it being negative and most likely misleading and/or false.

Failed Fact Checks
Press TV has such a bad reputation for publishing/reporting questionable content that a Wiki page is titled “Press TV Controversies,” highlighting the many times they have made antisemitic and false claims. Rather than listing them all here, we recommend you check out this Wiki page for more details.

All information in this article match to the dot with everything that is reported in Belgium. Sorry bud, you are wrong.

No, the Reuters article is very different than the Iranian Press TV article. Show us in the Press TV article where her statements about having the ICC holding all parties including the Hamas terrorists responsible for their crimes on Oct 7th is mentioned along with the need to cut all funding to Hamas.

Do I need to post the full text of both articles to demonstrate what absurd propaganda the Press TV article is?

So Iranian Press TV is reporting her comments that Hamas is a terrorist organization that must be completely defunded. Yeah, show me where.

What she said about Israel is correctly reflected in the article. Prove us otherwise. This is not some shit hole country but at the heart of Europe and center of all European politics. If Israel loses Europe they immediately lose any support in Asia as well. You will experience a wave of antisemitism that the world has never before seen. Purely an eye for an eye. If that is how Israel wants to play it, be my guest.

Reuters is a well-respected media source that is highly factual and has a neutral bias.

Press TV is a low quality, biased propaganda Iranian media site full of hateful antisemitic garage.

This particular article at Press TV reads like a typical antisemitic hit piece -- it provides a few truthful quotes, ignoring the full context of the Petra De Sutte's comments (including that Hamas is a terrorist organization that needs to be completely defunded) while creating an opinion piece primarily focused on anti-Israel comments. It is the very definition of propaganda and not news.

Why anyone would choose to use an article from a low quality source rather than news from a well-respected mainstream source is quite the enigma. We can only assume they value pushing antisemitic propaganda rather providing news.

This might be a good time to remind everyone that Press TV was "one of 30 domains seized by the US Government" as a security risk due to promoting terrorist propaganda. Unfortunately they returned using the .ir extension. Iran is rated in the bottom 10 countries in the world for media freedom.

Reading articles from Press TV is effectively supporting terrorism. Someone who posts articles from Press TV while not disclosing the url in clear text can only be described as actively promoting terrorism.

Thank you for explaining us what reuters is. We all knew already. It does not change the fact that the article on the Iranian and most other Arabian websites largely reflects the facts as reported in all other European media.

Support for Israel is dwindling. Someone who lives according to eye for an eye does not deserve European support. But fear not, they have their Jewish brothers and sisters in the US who don't mind sending support cheques and aid packages.

There are numerous international outlets such as Al Jazeera, Arab News, Al Arabiya and others with a slant towards Palestinians which are available in English. Many of them have reporters directly located in Gaza. I look at these websites to get a balanced view of the conflict and other Middle East news.

With many Arab and other news international outlets available; there is no need to go to an Iranian terrorist propaganda website with low quality content.

The news of that article was accurate, whether you like or not like the messenger. Period.

It was not accurate. Accurate would be reflecting ALL of her comments including that Hamas is a terrorist organization which needs to be completely defunded. The Iranian article does not provide balance or context. The Press TV article is merely a antisemitic hit piece typical of the low quality crap which comes out of state controlled Iranian media.

Get your news from respected mainstream sources and not propaganda outlets controlled by terrorist governments.
