What do you guys think? We have an addition "Save" post button, or "Favorite"? Then people can view the list of posts they have saved/favorite.

This feature is kind of meaningless if they have their profile set to Private though. You've reached a dead end.

I think the OP means..."Then that user can view the list of posts they have saved/favorite."

A convenience feature for just that user, not for others to see what that user thinks is his/her favorite.

A way to follow posts without actually following?

Yes like a personal favourite list or bookmarks, saved posts page.

It's preferable to copy useful posts to your own offline database, because ET threads are sometimes deleted.
