Wouldn’t it be wild if it turned out that China made a deal with Russia: you attack Ukraine, so we can take Taiwan when the US is distracted, and in return we’ll help you with whatever you need. crazy I know. But crazier things have happened.

It is not a deal between Russia and China. Bot of them do not want US to be the super power and dominate the world. It is a global competition to grow stronger.
It is a huge burden for US to be the global police. This is the reason Biden decided to cut loss in Afghanistan. That was a huge investment loss. I guess White House never set a stop loss trigger and let the loss continue for 20 years. A very bad trade.
Now Ukraine realized that no matter what, it can't win. So it already gave up the hope of joining NATO. It may even secretly reach a deal with Russia to salvage something. It knows that NATO will never want to fight for Ukraine.
Same thing will happen with Taiwan. It is unthinkable that US will fight for Taiwan if/when China decides to invade if Taiwan wants to make a foolish move for independence. Russia may even get involved with sending some warships to Taiwan Strait, like 10 or 15 years later.
Why people and nations just can't live in peace. A lot ethnic cleansing and ultra-nationalism in the most civilized Europe. That is the saddest part. It is like the Game of Thrones.

It would not be wild. I am sure this is an agreement that the two countries reached during this meeting that they had during the Winter Olympics.

Some of the rumors are just absurd. How can Russians operate new China made drones, missiles and armors in such a short time period. I do not think they have compatible military systems. China only purchased aircraft and designed their own, based on Russian design. Not sure if Russia wants any old Soviet era tanks from China. Seems more like propaganda.

If you want to go back further into history, Taiwan is actually supposed to be part of The Netherlands or Holland:

Taiwan has its own border, currency, its own military, its own political system, its own political leader, its own flag, its own coat of arms, its own national anthem. It's only because the whole world wants to cater to China that it doesn't allow Taiwan to have a seat in the UN or any UN organizations and doesn't establish diplomatic relations with Taiwan and even force Taiwan to compete in the Olympics under "Chinese Taipei".
