I'm buying less gasoline as it upticks; a few quarts of oil as it downticks again, against OPEC.
 
Saudi sells about 6% of its total petrol products to US, so we are no longer a big buyer, what's the leverage here.

So we've brought them out of the ashes of filth and poverty (like we've done with Chinese), and now they want to forget all that and give us the middle finger instead? They are making a big mistake.

If there's one thing that others should not easily dismiss is that the US is a very forgiving nation but they don't easily forget about other's past sins.
 
Oil will be one of the best sectors to have monies invested on going forward. The pipe dream of environmentalists of replacing oil with green energy is just that. What the green energy CEOs do not tell you is, they need huge subsidies to keep their businesses alive. The cost of green energy is sky high and the amount generated is very small and not enough to sustain any country's energy needs. If they can replace oil, wouldn't they have done so, in the past 10 years atleast? Unless, you plan on driving your car using water, fly a jetliner without jet fuel, generate electricity without using oil, create plastics without oil, run those huge container trucks without diesel----good luck with that. I worked for an oil company, we did research on alternative energy and the finding is that it is very costly, and not enough energy generated to make it worth it. Crude oil is refined and you get gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, asphalt, etc. Oil is used also, in making plastics. Oil will be here a long time and the source of energy for years to come. And green energy companies, without their huge subsidies would be bankrupt already. Biden's Inflation Reduction Act is just that, to give his green energy CEO buddies, huge subsidies to keep their businesses running.
