You could get your data from a one-way satellite connection from BMI or DTN and place trades using dial-up perhaps. One advantage of that is the impossibility of getting hacked by somebody at your data provider since it is only one way. Wow, I never realized it before but you could be entirely hack proof if you got data from satellite and placed trades via telephone. We have to have these little talks more often...
