What I also got from the article....
Not really.
The guy is very private. Bitcoin transactions are very public. There is no hiding his identity if he tried cashing out his coins.
Also, since he created Bitcoin because he hated the current banking system and eventually wanted to eliminate/replace that system, it doesn't make sense that he would exchange BTC for dollars.
And given that Bitcoin was mostly an intellectual exercise rather than a get-rich ploy, it's improbable he could've foreseen the resulting mania and opportunity to cash out.
In the future, he may be hounded by various alphabet agencies. I imagine it wouldn't be implausible that the DOJ or some state AG might try to build a RICO or fraud case against him unless some high-level allies come to his rescue.
Time will tell...
The author and the 2 researchers are all women. Just sayin'..... They forgot to print his SS number... 
So far I think the smartest way to look for SN was when they sleuths googled an obscure expression and there was only 1 document on the whole WWW that used the exact same expression, and in an article about cryptography. That article had 3 authors and so far that is the best bet for the identity of SN...
By the way I always wondered, why not just widely distribute that 1 million never moved coins (this should have been done 2-3 years ago) so the currency would take off faster and there would be no accumulation by a private individual??? If a widely used currency was SN's real goal.... Sitting on the coins doesn't do any good....
Now of course if SN is a group of coders from a government agency, then the earliest mined coins would be government property, also explaining the lack of movement...

"Dorian" is the creator of Bitcoin. My bet is that now that's he's known he will negotiate some transfer into physical gold or the Franc. No way he'll want to be associated now that his anonymity is blown. I bet we see >$100MM move in a single, pre-arranged trade.
i couldn't read the article completely because it got too disgusting tbh .. japanese are generally very humble people that value privacy a lot (at least from my experience). this article makes me feel sad for him.

What if he is one of many? I have this theory that bitcoin was actually a government project, like a socio-economic experience. Since Dorian did work on some secret government project, what if that was bitcoin? If so, he can't really say anything legally.

Also note: Interesting that one of his former co-workers quoted in the article is now head of L-3 Communications, which was involved in the creation of PRISM and other NSA projects.
And that would explain the white paper. They decided that they will crowd source the idea and someone wrote the white paper. Then maybe as a joke, they picked one guy's middle name as cover and that guy happened to be Dorian.
So he was involved, but not completely alone... If he really did it alone, I want an explanation for using his real name on the white paper...

I've always said this before, if BTC is created by CIA or NSA, why wouldn't everyone just go to a different coin like litecoin instead, or one of the hundreds of others??
