Satellite Internet-anyone with experience

I am relocating to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Neither cable nor DSL is available. I am looking at using Hughes Net satellite system. Does anyone have experience with this and could share their experience with performance and reliability. I am a position trader and trader options almost exclusively.
 
I reseached this a while back - biggest trouble with Satellite served data is the lag as data has to be beamed up to the satellite and beamed back down to you - can give you 600-800m+ delays & ping times
