Sarah Palin believes she can be the next president of the United States.
The former Alaska governor told ABCâs Barbara Walters that sheâs considering running for the Republican presidential nomination. And if she won it, she said, she could defeat President Barack Obama.
âIâm looking at the lay of the land now, and ... trying to figure that out, if itâs a good thing for the country, for the discourse, for my family, if itâs a good thing,â Palin said, according to a short video clip released by ABC News.
Walters followed up with the key question: âIf you ran for president, could you beat Barack Obama?â
Palinâs response: âI believe so.â
ABC will air the full interview on Dec. 9, as part of âBarbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People.â
