Crime is a problem associated with poverty by and large.
We are actually living in a time when property crime is down but gun violence is increasing. This is a result of record gun sales and flooding the country with illegal firearms. And of course the illegal firearms are a result of lack of accountability after the purchase.
It is also a result of irresponsible gun owners who keep letting their guns get into the hands of criminals,than feel they aren't responsible for it.
