So...who's responsible to foot the bill? All the northerners that came to FL after air conditioning and the Latin Americans? Because they make up way more of FL than descendants of slave holders. The whole idea of reparations for something that happened 160 years ago is silly and never going to happen. You'd find very few people alive who had a grandparent that was a slave or slaveholder. Lots of waves of dirt poor immigrants have come over since then and their working conditions were much closer to slavery than our modern standards. While some will always be at an advantage over others, let's try to work on making sure we give everybody the opportunities they need to succeed and live a happy/healthy life.

a bit too simplistic. We've got dudes who can trace people's lineage to Ellis Island, just have them dig where the fortunes of slave trade went...I'm sure they'll find plenty corporations relocating north chasing talent.
That too.I fully support the corporations and banks that profited off of slavery to pay,although that might make it too complicated.
Well, it's like funding the IRS vs not; they go after low hanging fruit if unfunded and big fish if funded. Sure you could go dig for reparation from Cletus @ the trailer park but what's the point?
