That's nothing new but it's changing as can be seen by the democrats illegal attack on Steele in Maryland.
I would imagine it's hard to find a black republican candidate because of the racist attacks by the democrats.

Of course blacks would NEVER vote along racial lines. If Republicans are so racially biased then why is the Cuban community Republican? Why is Puerto Rico dominated by a conservative GOP sponsored Party? Why did the GOP support the Civil Rights Act more vigilantly than Democrats? Why is Bush arguing on the side of justice in welcoming downtrodden Mexican workers? Why is it the GOP who advocates giving inner city children choice in schools? Which party elected the first half dozen women to Congress? Which President nominated the first woman to the Supreme Court.

put up? hey, people CHOOSE to run for office. administrations, otoh, have the power to appoint people. there is no doubt that the vast majority of blacks are left of center (they vote approx. 90% dem iirc), that is tangential to the issue of admin appointments though, which was my point. of COURSE there are more black dems than black repubs. considering the ideological stratification, it would be amazing if this was not the case. you seem to miss the point consistently. not sure if this is intentional.

the only thing that is fully representative of lincoln is ... wait for it... LINCOLN. and he's dead.
my point is that history shows that the repub party has been more protective of civil rights than the democrats. that is course arguable since it can't be proven statistically, and i am no big fan of the repub party as i have said several times. i simply prefer them to the dems. for a # of reasons, civil rights being a big part of my preference

It is hard to find an African American republican, because many of them don't want to dress and act like republicans.
