Anywhere near the beach is skyhigh: If you had bought such premium property and held it for 5 years you could quite possibly have made 1 million in gains on a single property. Down the street from our primary residence a small 3 bedroom 2 bath place recently sold for 1.2 million ...... in our neighborhood this is considered a tear down.

FYI these types of gains probably wont last much longer in my opinion ....
 
What goes up must come down right?
Well not in all cases but it does seem time for a breather in the real estate market (at least in socal)...I have my eyes and ears ready to scoop some deals here in the next year and a half and until then i think i might just rent a little beach pad cause the rent values are about 15-20% lower right now i would say than last years.
 
Thats almost me, 28 and riding this thing till the wheels fall off!

PS- Vegas is a short 45 min. flight from SD as well...another bonus? I think so!

Hey San Diego traders. Nice to see there is a thread here about SD. I wasen't sure if there were many traders down here.
I moved here 1 month ago from Canada. I had the choice of moving anywhere I wanted basically. I really like it here in SD, it's just excellent. Yes not cheap, but if you in this trading business, you better be in for the big bucks. I'm doing pretty good for myself trading Nasdaq from home through Genesis securities.. Don't know many people down here. Would like to get to know some of you guys, what you trade and how well you guys doing? Anyways, i think would be best to add me on messenger g_karam@hotmail.com
