San Diego Traders

Quote from Don Bright:

I'm not too worried about "dirty laundry"....and I could "wax poetic" about the reasons to trade with our firm. But, any good trader will make their own decisions anyway.

(Positive comments coming.....)...
Now, let me say this.....your new CEO was (and is) very professional....and I see good things for Assent on the horizon. The Management change is (very) welcome in the industry.

So let's try to get past the "war", and try to work together to make the industry solid and (more importantly) viable. Let's not waste valuable gray matter on meaningless dribble....heck, even Ford and Chevy guys get together for a drink every now and then.

Bright is more than happy to have some "troublesome" traders seek other opportunities, and even some solid traders...this is a free country.....on the other hand, we will continue to "grow the industry" and expand our horizons Worldwide. We have had a great number of "returnees" lately .....just part of the game.

I am impressed with Mr. Meyers (unsure of the spelling, sorry if it is in error), and JWKirkland has done a good job of seeking better "deals" and such for his traders (I respect him for that)....

Best of luck!!

Don

You are always trying to get past the "war" but you are the very first to sling mud or retaliate. You constantly, and not so subtly in my opinion, demean those firms who compete with yours.

...but I think the "kabosh" was put on it by another firm....too bad. Although we had the other firm's represented there, I was told that traders were asked not to come. Again, too bad.

Don.
I agree there is no War. My comment was in reply to the above. That was not the reason you had a poor turnout. And I have a feeling you know that...........
there is no need to go any further, as we all know it is a waste of time.

RE> Our office is not the one losing traders to other companies.

I get calls/emails/pm's from Bright Traders, (and former BT traders) every week, last month I even got a call from a trader representing a WHOLE Bright office looking to jump and unhappy, in fact I just was pm'd this morning by a current Bright Trader...I have never pursued one Bright Trader...they ALL seem to search out other firms to go to. We should have a poll one day of how many "former" Bright traders now trade elsewhere.

Blah, Blah , Blah ....

Again, more wasted discussion. I get calls and pm's all the time from people from the entire spectrum of prop trading firms and wall street firms. Everybody everywhere is always looking for a better deal: its called a career. Until you OWN the firm you will probably be moving through a sequence of jobs.

If you mention firms by name and mention your own firm then you have an ulterior motive and IMHO nobdy should listen to you or give you the time of day AND the moderator should have deleted your post .....
