I am in the market for 8 new monitors and would like advice on Samsung Monitors vs. Dell Monitors or any other brand you may advise. I was thinking of getting 8 22" Samsung Monitors at my local costco for around $150-$180/piece and I think they come with hdmi output. Are samsung monitors Good? and what should I look for when buying monitors? Thank you

Because Costco's return policy is so easy, I would just get a couple of different ones from there and compare them.
I know you didn't ask for any opinions but that is a lot of real estate, are currently making money with a setup like this?

Not sure if all Samsung models are created equal. The models that I like are 2243SWX and 2343BWX. I have a few of them.

Check the Dell website, they have a good selection of monitors at various price levels to suit your taste.
Currenlly you get the best value for money with 1920X1080 (1080p) and 1920x1200 monitors. They come anywhere in the 22" - 24" range.
To choose a monitor it's a good idea to read reviews on the Web or at least specialised forums like hardforum.com.
If you are looking at 1080p range NEC EA231WMi is a good choice. If you are more cost concious BenQ G2220HD and E2220HD offer unbeatable value for money (but viewing angles are far from perfect).
In 1920x1200 range good options are HP ZR24W and 28-inch monitors from HANNSG.
When choosing a monitor I would check:
1) viewing angles
2) whether colours are oversaturated
3) whether the screen is mate or reflective. Some find anti-glare coating annoying
4) variety of inputs
5) location of controls (if you arrange 4 monitors on a 2x2, controls located on the side or on the back will be a trouble)
6) whether the bezel is reflective (some find it annoying to see a reflection whenever someone walks behind)
7) whether the bezel is rectangular without parts that stick out (not good for multi-monitor stands)

I would like to know why you dont like ACER monitors? Also, what is a good internet retailer to buy samsung monitors? In addition How do you get the specs for the bezel, since moounting the monitors vertically you would want the thinnest bezel possible so there is not too large of a gap. Thank you
