Sam's Day Trading Log (With Charts)

Looking at the daily chart SLV is setting up for a nice swing trade. Would look for it to go back up to around 31 but I would like to see one more down day and see it drop to about 27.50 before entering long.

P.S. be careful of over trading

Kon, what's this about a SWING trader testing FAS and knocking out $125 from it in a few minutes. Nice one my friend!!!

Brushing off the dust on these old fingers lol.

01/05:

Since early morning I had a biased opinion of the market taking a tumble. This bias was enhanced by the lack of any upward movement when the ADP employment #'s came out better than expected.

I generally trade with some sort of bias, but then am also willing to change my trading strategy rapidly, if the market does the opposite. Today was one of those days. However, I don't think I adapted as well as I should have. You can see this by the # of times I got stopped out!!!.

Anyway, here goes:

Pic. 1:

Trade 1:
LONG:
Entry: $28.98
Exit: $29.08
+$0.10

Trade 2:
LONG:
Entry: $29.21
Exit: $29.39
+$0.18

Trade 3:
LONG:
Entry 1: $29.42
Entry 2: $29.52
Exit: $29.65
+$0.36

It would have been nicer if I didn't get stopped out as much and let it ride shy of $30. I'm not complaining though.

Today the market is "no bueno!!!" . I might come back in a bit to trade or i'll just show you my burn marks that I suffered within the first 7 MINUTES of open and call it a day.

You and me both man. I'm trying to see if I can figure out a way to catch the initial moves. Lots of burn marks :D

Old chinese proverb. "The burned hand teaches best" . Losing money always sucks, but its the only way we really learn.

What was the stock ?

Before I post any further, I was reminded by a friend that I was still paper trading. Actually, I wish that stood, for today.

However, I have been trading with REAL money since 01/03/2011. At the beginning of the journal, I had put that as my plan and kept to it. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to post that. Hence, when a trade is not going my way, I AM sh***ing brick
