It's just a countryside thing, disappearing fast in today's metropolises?
In the ~= 1000 people country village where I was born, when you saw a guy, know him/her or not, you said "good day". "Good morning", "Good afternoon", "Good evening" or even looking into his eyes, smiling and nodding.
Today, my programmer colleagues can be split in three classes:
1) Guys who salute when they come in (to the office).
2) Guys who don't salute when they come into the office but salute me when I salute them.
3) Guys who don't salute when they come into the office and don't salute me when I salute them.
I'm gonna get rid of the 3'rds.
How's that sound with you? Nazi?
