DEBKAfile Reports: US forces are closing in Thursday on a senior Iraqi – possibly even Saddam Hussein or a top insider. The hot pursuit by 101st Airborne is in progress north of Mosul. US 4th Infantry continue to hunt Iraqi guerrillas in regions north and east of Baghdad up to Iranian border.

i too think there will be some crazy short term action (i hope i'm not in a trade if it happens) - but overall and on the long run it wouldn't change that much - if anything at all - for the markets as well as for the rest of the world. (same goes for b. laden)
