gary, are you going to tell us what all these options are that you're loading up on, or is that too personal? don't answer if it is, don't want to dig too deep, just wondering if it's put or call (which way you're betting) and if it's stock or index, like s&p.

i have done a lot of options trading, but don't tend to make very good trades unless i'm supremely confident which way the stock will go (even then it's hard). since i don't like to throw away money, i don't buy many options and if i do, they're for a longer period (3 months or more, usually). some people have excellent experience with options, though, and i didn't know if you were betting on a stock you know really well, or betting on the market as a whole.

i really think this market is headed for a fall, but i don't want to get too invested in that opinion, so i'm waiting on the sidelines for now.

Pincessa,
I have been building positions on the Q's since July. I tend to do straddles and strangles on my option trades and somtimes they last for months. My latest position is that I sold all my 37 and 39 calls and bought some Dec 42 calls and 40 puts. I also have puts at 39 and 36. I do this so that I can try to trap the market and catch a big move with several layers in either direction. I have been posting in here and on Romiks Divergence journal about these trades.

average short 1328.87 now and stop reduced to -1.25% of TC

Judging by my calculations you should be on the positive side today. All the best to you and yours. :)

Gary, on the volume-
do you use a five minute chart?
Alan

Not necessarily for volume but I do for trading the flags which I use volume for. Looks like we have a bearish flag forming now.

I think we may reverse here at 12:45-1pm. I see negative divergence in YM & ES and positive in ER2 and NQ.

IMHO unlikely, depending on what reversal you are referring to, I was commenting on reversal to the upside.
