You are absolutely correct. It just shows that you can't take it literally that for every winner their is a loser. If your statement is correct in this case then we had 3 winners and one loser. Could easily be the other way around as well. Really what it boils down to is that all we can really watch out for is ourself. Start worrying about everybody else and you are going to be the next loser.

Side note: I have to go meet a doctor and will miss the open this morning.

Yes there were 3 winners and 1 loser but it is still zero sum.
