... I limit myself to RTH so I sat on my hands until the open. Then I whiffed on the setup and didn't get a fill when the train pulled out of the station!

... but seem to be missing the setups...and man, I hate to chase the moves!

Heh, I didn't see your post before I wrote mine. Looks like we could both use a little change-up here n'there.

(It's the curse of the intra-day only trader).

No worries, we're going to be looking at a reversal at any point now.

Later,

Jimmy

P.S. I normally don't go in that territory, but I'm thinking of getting back into the overnight thing again ... see when I was just a wee (very wee) trader, I escaped a margin call by not being at home ... so since then, I've NEVER thought of trading anything but the RTH.

...Out at 10 on 2 (total, hey, that's big pimp'in for me - at least for the now).

Nice trade Jimmy!

Overnight scares the crap outta me! I wouldn't sleep a wink if I were holding something overnight! :D

Where's that bum Volente? It's a T-day and we just had the 10:30 reversal. He should be tooting the horn. :D :D :D

You need an exception clause for "crappy range days" (call it "shot'in for *3@!#").

Good Trade JJ,
The only reason I don't use any exception clauses is that once you start doing this it because of one days trading it leads to more and more. Pretty soon you water down what started off as a good system and make it totally descretionary. So, for me it is easier to accept defeat for today and come back to win tomorrow. I just feel that some days aren't good for my system so I don't fight those days.

Dude,

I was up until 4am watching this frick'in thing (yeah I got off at 1am, but I was still up till 4am talk'in my trade ... check out the late nite chart).

Vol00 is a good trader, but he suffers from the "has to be right" syndrome (like we all do :) ).

Later,

JJ

P.S. I started feeling like an insomniac, so after catching some stupid late nite TV - good I love that stuff - I just crashed (after checking the alarm twice, of course).

Lets hope it never ceases for both of us. Not trying to be the master teacher/trader here but If you take Franz for example. Lets forget that he is a lying dog and assume he is trading real money. His method was working fairly well until he kept tweaking it to make it work for every type of trading situation under the stars. He added all kinds of signals until now his charts look like a kids birthday cake. He has every color spot you can imagine and blows one account after another. I have seen this happen so many times. We all know (or at least we say we know) that no system is perfect yet we try to modify our system over and over to make it perfect. I just decided not to do that anymore. And this journal along with all of you help me stick to my words. So, I must thank each and every one of you for helping me.

Thank You,
Gary

Is Franz still trading in the alert room? Last I heard he was on "vaction", just curious.

I really don't know. I get emails from TI but don't keep up with them.

70.50 is next S on daily

that's held, but I wouldn't be surprised if it will fall in the afternoon. My current S/R are: 70.75 & 76.

Gary, I see a smile on your face the width of Grand Canyon as Continental are flying over it, still waiting for my brand new DELL here :D

Romik,
You probably saw my smile all the way to England, didn't you...I also like my Q's position right now.

Hope your PC makes it soon. At least this gives you a break to take in the whole situation. You'll get in there and really rock. If not you can blame it on the new pc...:)
