Good morning everybody,

I spent some time this weekend digging up and typing some information about trading flags. While doing some studying the other night I happen to flip to a chapter where the author had rated the best chart patterns and told how to trade them. I thought this might be helpful for everyone to read. If you have time I think you will like this.

I am now officially on vacation. I will be monitoring off and on during the week so I hope you guys will continue this while I am gone. I hope everybody has a great trading week. I had a very nice one this week except that I only got to trade 2 days. I made up for it though by making multiple trades.

Here's a chart of bull flags from an old SFO Mag article I had in my files.

The article's not that good because the author suggests buying before the breakout.

Do a search for "flags" in the archive section of SFO for the full article.

This is probably the best and most conservative method for trading flags. For me it depends on how far the pullback is. I have entered after the breakout about half way to the highest peak.

Now that some of you have had a chance to read more about the flag and how powerful it can be. I would like for you to see why I chose that pattern for this weekend.

Guess nobody had any response to my posts this weekend. Well I am going on vacation. Flying out in the morning. Just wanted to say I expect a down week this week based on my chart patterns. The only trading I am going to be doing are my 2 option trades I have going. My brother will be watching and managing them for me. My targets are 34 for the q's and 24 for CAL. Not necessarily this week but it would be nice.

You guys take care and have some good trading. I hope my snuff works as good at the craps tables as it does with trading.

Let's see if your rules for S/R and Bull/Bear Flags will work on the craps tables (well, maybe not there, but did you palm your copy of Thorpe for the Blackjack tables?) :D

I wish I could use S/R on the tables and unfortunately the blackjack are just another thing cluttering up my mind. I have had them memorized for years. I'll tell you something though, after trading futures gambling doesn't really interest me much anymore. I hope that doesn't mean futures is a stronger form of gambling than gambling is. Know what I mean??? Have a good week. I'll be keeping tabs through the week.
