I know you have your predetermined stop and I do not want to influence you man, but perhaps out of interest check out 15 min TF MACD HIST and RSI formation.

4 the record, I got busted on that one (OK, so my new thing is ... patience the only thing on TV is some Minnie Driver movie ...:D ). Re-entered @ 1267.75, ah the Dog Days of Summer - are yet to come!

Oi, forgot RSI mate :) it's important as you have confirmation there an all=stronger signal

It is obvious now which way it went.

But note the short green bars on the rally (in contrast to the big red bars on the way down). That indicates a weak pullback, not an impending breakout to the upside.

Wide-range bars tend to indicate which way the market is going to go.

Of course, nothing is full-proof. Especially in this business.:-)

Yes, the pulling up with light volume usually will clue you in that there is more downside. Although, we have all seen this happen during luch and when the big guys get back they jump all over it and turn it into a full reversal. That is why I rarely trade during lunch.

Romik,
What happened to the market while I was out. I'll have to email you some of my Copenhagen (tobacky). I think with a little chewin and spittin we could save this thing today. I presume you are going to play this one long term aren't you?

hopefully a couple of weeks from entry. PT 1295-1300

That is what I thought. I think that tobacky will get kind of old and nasty by that point. You are going to just use plain old trading skill for that long of a trade :D

I didn't trade well today. I was too impatient and took a trade long, during the lunch period, without a confirmation; therefore, I was down big time. Fortunately, I was able to regroup and trade my way to breakeven.:( One bad decision can cost you dearly in this game.

It is a constant battle K. You'll be back stronger than ever. I really beat myself up when I make a mistake but the next day I have to be over it or I don't trade. The good thing is you came back to break even...Way to go...

It isn't just you. I had a hard time reading the market today and got stopped out for a 2 point loss. I also lost 2 points yesterday. It hasn't been a good week for me so far. I've been having a hard time anticipating the moves we've had and I haven't wanted to chase them. I'm still even for the week though, thankfully.
