forums don't die they just fade away. is this the status of this forum? i hope not. the problem with a system that is single faceted is it is single faceted. it is great but if market does not cooperate with it for awhile it doesn't produce coins, while the market is producing coins each day...a lot of coins...then again if the one trick pony system.......LOL..........i like the 4re system aslong as it works and it obviously does for him...........if it works a few times a week with multiple contracts it can capture enough coins to be happy.......then when the market goes in favor of one trick pony system it can be more rewarding. most don't have the patience to wait for slower signals.....they want the right now signals....for the rush they are seeking as they gamble their account to oblivion........IMHO:eek:

I know where you are going with this so I'll just lay it on the line for others to understand. It basically goes back to late last week when I posted no trades for the week. Someone suggested that maybe I change my method in order to be able to trade the market at hand.

Yes, I have plenty of tools at my disposal. I decided not to pull them out last week though. I would have gotten several trades in but I would also risk getting caught up in a money losing period for a lot of people called the chop. I didn't feel it to be in my best interest to risk this so I stuck to my plan and didn't trade. A lot of people that lost money last week were the first to say I played it right. I don't just trade for the sake of trading. I weigh the risk/reward and decide the BEST time to trade.

Is that about right?

Well, if you are referring to me no it's not right. I asked you IF thought about changing your method to suit the conditions. This is a journal, its not a paying advice column. Its not your responsibility if people make or lose money on your calls, no matter how you come to choose them, it's a public journal of your method which, I think, can be discussed, so don't worry about it.

IMO, everyone brings their own weapons to this fight. August thru mid-September some of those weapons stop working or become less reliable. Do you switch your weapons of choice, the ones you are skilled at using? Or do bide your time and wait for the market to give you feedback that says your weapons will work once again?

More traders should take heed to 2nd option.

To be honest I didn't remember who asked it THIS time. It has been brought up before as well and is an honest question to ask. I don't mind being questioned about anything. So no I was not trying to single out any one person or even say that the question was wrong to ask.

It seems like the trendy the market the more tools I tend to pull out. In order to make multiple trades in a day. I have never traded the ES in September so I am kind of feeling it out. I guess is about the only way I can describe it. Does that make sense?
