Okay. eCBOT is dead in the water. Tempted to go long on the ES just to cover my a$$ on my YM trade. Any thoughts?

Dude, #1, we're just a couple'a fella hanging-out here on a thread, take everything we say with a gain or two.

#2, the market is very indecisive, nobody knows exactly which way is up from here, it just isn't clear.

#3, exactly what is your situation, are you currently in a SHORT trade and can't exit? - if so, you should probably just leave it be for now ... if the ES can break the open and you're feel'in the heat, go for it ... otherwise, just sit tight.

My 2,

Jimmy

I personally wouldn't have any advice on this. I can see where it could go down more and I can see how it could go up.

Wow. Thanks for those 3 varying opinions. :D
The winner is....JJ! Yeah, I'm short the YM.
I'll just sit tight and bite the bullet. I'm watching the ES chart and biting my nails.

Thanks for the input.

I know it sounds funny and wasn't worth really saying but it is the truth. And one more thing is we may have seen all the action for the day as well. When the market gets like this I shut my dome off so I don't enter anything.

I have not done any scalps today, because of the extensive range of the bar, I kinda had a feeling that today would be yet another up day, perhaps not the way it actually happened, but anyway.

I still see the gap being closed today.

I know this might sound a little corny and nobody has to participate if you don't want to. I just wanted to propose this before everyone cuts out for the weekend. I think we have started to become a pretty good community of traders/hackers on here but we don't know much about the person behind the name.

So I would like to know what country or region you are from and what got you into trading. You don't have to say what town or anything just region is good. Also if you dare I would like to hear about your best or worst trade.

I know you think I told my worst trade the other day. But I have a doozy of a screw I'll post.

Like I said don't feel obligated to join I just thought it might help the weekend go faster and get to know everyone a little better. Also the bad trades just helps us remember we are human and not perfect.

I have to cut out now. So we will see where this goes.

Gary

As you saw by my earlier post. I am on the fence today myself.

i believe it took out the pennants lower line. I would normally place a market order right here (sell), but the range is not tight, so I am still sitting on my hands for now. Though there has been lots of great action today and I could have jumped in and taken out potentially quite a few little gains, system says stay put, for now.
