Actually in my own case, my silence is because this and any other prediction means nothing from the standpoint of making money on a consistent basis. Back to my silence...

Unfortunately for you, if you cannot make money on a consistent basis using very accurate market calls, then maybe you're in the wrong business.

If you think the S&P is toppy, sell out of the money calls. If you think the S&P is ready for a breakout, sell out of the money puts (always more lucrative). That's trading 101.

But thanks for sharing your insightful perceptions

LOL! When you use the complain function, the moderators get an email. So then we click on the link and up comes the post in question. I received an email about the quoted post. Actually the person phrased it crap alert. I deleted the name because it isn't important.

But this is an excellent example of a petty post. This is not what Elite Trader is about. I am deleting the original post, and all references to it in subsequent posts.

Bravo Romeo, for the nice call, and the restraint. Sheesh!
 
There will be petty stuff on this thread. Sometimes, that's all someone can come up with. Stuff like , "hey, you're a loser" or "yeah, but did you make money?". I can take it.

It's your call though. I will definitely let you know if there's something posted here that's really ridiculous, but this just seems like some goofball trying to be funny.

First, you need to make a great call AHEAD of time. Then you make sure it's relevant to trading the stock market. Then you place it into the "trading" category. After all that, if you get it right, be proud.

It's petty and classless. Sorry that's just my opinion. I hope it is not a censorable offence. If you had been wrong this thread would be long ago buried.

I don't think it is petty to boast about oneself. Romeo does it somewhat in fun, and somewhat because he has been right.

But it is totally petty to have not had the guts to step up to the plate, then post some BS when Romeo hits another homerun, and say he wouldn't be thumping his chest if he struck out. No kidding.... would you?

Which brings to mind any number of examples in sports, or life for that matter. Do people crow about their failures? When the QB throws an interception is he on the sidelines taking high fives?

So what if a guy is stoked because he made the right call! I don't see anyone else hanging it out there. And regardless what they say, everyone has a bias about what they think is going to happen. Okay, maybe it's only 99%, but that makes the 1% statistically insignificant, so saying 'everyone' is right on.

And the best part is.....we don't have to wade thru hundreds of pages of gibberish to figure out what he is saying.
