Attached is the current monthly chart. Are we at a top? Perhaps, but more likely the top would not be an extended top. It could be a few days or weeks but probability is that it would not last much longer. --Certainly not "many many" months---This is the problem with not looking at the longer term charts for direction. As I said in the initial post that I made, there will be one time, and one time only in each cycle, when the prediction of a top that will last for many many months will be the right prediction. This is why every previous prediction by Thorn/Rubberbird with regard to a top in SP has been wrong. A call on the daily charts should be viewed in the context of days or weeks rather than months. Is this the time when the prediction will be right? Perhaps, but not very probable.
Post script: A call on an individual stock, while it may be viewed as a good or great call has no bearing on the premise of this thread which makes a prediciton on the whole of the index.

Edit: There will be one time of course when the call from the daily chart will be right and that will be when the real reversal will take place. However, every call prior to that will be wrong as has been demonstrated in this series of threads.

Making 6 points on a 66.70 dollar stock and losing 2+ points on a 26.60 dollar stock is BREAKEVEN. Sure a 14 figure hedgefund trader can do simple math.
thorn you sure are one big moron, i guarantee i can pick out a stock that will make a move bigger than 7 dollars, and by your twisted logic i will come out here patting myself on the back about the 9 dollar move i find on a 1000+ dollar stock, so i guess in your fantasy hedgefund you were playing the exact same number of shares on each play???

And i guarantee you CAN'T.
pick any stock $100 or less, which is the same pool i pick from and try. Give it 50 tries, you'll never be able to do it bozo. And i guarantee you will NEVER TRY to do it anyway. And you won't b/c you CAN'T.
Same for bozente, pick a stock if you got the guts, pick 50, i guarantee you'll never be able to pick the biggest $ mover the day before. And i guarantee neither of you will try b/c both know you can't do it.
Some advice: stick to what you're good at. I'm good at making $$ in the stock market, and both of you are great at being jealous trolls.
first off the only thing you are good at is being a pompous delusional asshole who has completely lost touch with reality, and desperately seeks attention over the internet.
Second off you Cant tell me that you went over every stock in the nasdaq/newyork/amex on thursday and said in your head, "you know what GFIG is going to be the top dollar mover tomorrow", the fact that other stocks never moved more than 5 dollars is luck.
Third im 22 years old and am starting my SECOND FULL year of trading this year, last year i made 300k, of which i got to keep about 130, which means while you were still in community college, i was busy destroying you in terms earnings as a day trader.
4th you have blown atleast 4 top calls for everyone you have been correct on so far.
and 5th if you are willing to give me 50 calls to spot a 5 dollar plus move before it happens i will gladly burn you, all i have to do is make calls based on volatility and earnings, not very tough.
oh and btw i am merely a day trader who trades REAL money not fantasy, tomorrows call is FMCN
