S&P isn't the problem, Term Limits is the problem.

The problem with term limits is they also remove the good politicians from office. My feeling is if the budget is balanced and the unemployment rate is below 6%, those politicians should be able to stay in office because they are performing. If there is a budget deficit and the unemployment rate is high, then obviously those politicians should be voted out immediately to give another group a chance to see if they can improve the economy.

LOL I suppose you think pay for performance in corporations really works too. The problem with your theory and every pay for performance theory is that it's temporary with no long-term planning. The system is broken idiot, you need to cut the mess out and start from scratch.

the world doesn't work according to your description. voters keep voting for the incumbents. therefore the need for term limits.
 
The need for backing by big money needs to be removed. What difference does your vote make when somebody can buy the guy after he steps foot into the office?

Remember when Obama said he would only use Public Financing?

Then he did a 180......

So......it must be a good idea.... :D

It's correct that big money should be removed, but have you noticed that the newboots usually behave for a while after their campaign and they arrive in D.C.? Hence: term limits.
