OK the data must be incomplete, how come I didn't hear about this on CNBC ? Also Briefing.com says 09 consensus is $56.

I remember Roubini saying he looked for $60 ans PE of 10 before bottom.

Click "click here" for sp 500 earnings on this page for the spreadsheet. As reported (GAAP) for 1Q09 $7.87 (estimate, not actual... another 10% more need to report according to that document).

OK , it's a matter of whether you are talking about operating earnings or GAAP earnings
