S&P daily pivots and break-down & up Targets

very busy, yes but nice ty
did you get the move ?

I think most here just watch it go there.......................lol

I understand though, trading can be hard when someone else
is putting targets out

So help some of "newbs" out here - not veteran ES scalpers:

You are up all night watching "Globex" [ok, got that one : ES overnight, you could wake up and check range.] (please define) and the Yen?

Also before 9am you are watching the price moves and what if it breaks above before this - do you still open a position and look for your 1275 target?

I mean isn't pre-market usu. pretty meaningless [ok, no resistance still affects during these times]? Or do you play the break of the pivot before the open [ok, yes and capturing points!!]?

Then I notice you do trade NQ, ER2, etc. but do not provide pivot/targets, etc. And when you capture 11, 5, 7 respective points in the first hour are you pretty much done for the day [ok, obviously no if pivots are broken joe plays;)]?

Gilbert [thx, for the answers (lol)]

Well my wife is ready to kill me cause I have my laptop next to me
at night, .................lol
So yes I will take a nap early in the night and then watch the Dax
open to see where there headed

Taking trade before the open is no big deal at all, futures trade 24-7 so if it looks good i'll take it, pre market can be real easy to trade you can get a nice move pre-mkt

I also watch and trade other markets to see what is stronger or weaker like the russ today was week so going short would work better in Russ rather than Dow!!!!!!!!!

Also yes, I will call it a day if my taeget is hit, why not.......lol

unless I feel like trading the rest of day

And Always watching the Yen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You see why I look at what index hits it's target and what falls short.

Russ slamed down over 10 pts while down only gave back
50 points

per ct. that 250 vrs 1000

Hi Joe,

Why the Russell is so weak last days? How do you think, will there be a short covering or as we did not break resistance level market will move South? :(

Thanks

OK, Joe. . .so yeah you can play the intra-day anomalies (out-/under- performances).

Like I do with the downtrend. From the beginning the SP and Dow tanked furthest, while the midcap 400, russell and NDX were relative out-performers.

We all know that is not usually the case. With each evolving trend these typically move higher and lower (volatility) compared to the SP and Dow.

So with my "swing" positions it was only a matter of time - as the trend confirmed lower - that the points would rack up more with my EMD ER2 an NQ positions.

BTW - I thought of adding short with the large point move this morning, but really I do not want to be over-leveraged and am waiting for a bullish shift to go long.

In fact the last two tempered rallies I didn't add, but am still profiting since we keep making lower lows.

pS

I just got out of a meeting, but looking at this market, I guess many traders that captured points with the break (bullish) above 1262.5 are now making points with the bearish break below!!!

Just got back, they hit upside target and downside target

right to the tick...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

watch out for a break of 42 then we will see 38-36

and then my target maybe of 1221 I mentioned in a video

a while ago, EVERY RALLY HAS BEEN SOLD FOR 3 WEEKS !

I said in the video, this market is oversold and week.

Not trying to be (`know it all ) here. just trying to get traders
to understand how markets work
