out for day

We will look at tomorrow’s numbers after the close

market was fairly decent today, at least what I saw of it

no real wild swings, who knows 1240 may be it for now

yep, I indiscriminately covered my added (1842) NQ shorts - in keeping with my margin schedule.

Oh well.

But yeah, close short-term gains now. we could still tank into the close with one-half hour left.

I still think it is a bear rally - and not much at that. Do you remember the 300 point YM jumps and the 70 point NQ jumps?!?

Looks like that was a double-bottom (?) in the pre-market off 1268 and again it proved itself as a pivot (?).

:)

Good intraday stuff, JB

Rising wedge?

Do these resolve to the downside?

Funny, I am looking at an ad that showed the same pattern we are seeing this morning.

I googled it and sure enuf it is a bearish reversal.

I just hope it doesn't take out my stop (breakout target).

<i>"velly intellesting"</i> "bearish" pattern worked! (all in the time i could create a mini-BLOG:()

Joe,
Amazing how you come up with the daily pivots with such accuracy - fine crystal ball! Seriously, mind sharing the ins of how you workm out these levels. I am impressed. Keep up the good work, really beneficial.

Cheers,
Nash

Well Joe,

I took a walk down to the corner to pick up some soda pop and cracker jacks and and to get away from the dam* computer and well I looked at my phone to see the market tank.

So much for the bull rally (bear trap). Thank you Joe, I held onto my positions based upon a (so far) much better method of targeting stops - just outside the breakout range.

Before I just closed at market if my margin % allocation required me to lessen exposure. Works fine, but more often than not it seemed the target I picked just outside of what appeared to me to be a range, was hit almost exactly at the reversal:p.

I can't tell you how frustrating that is:mad:.

I held my 2NQ in 4 accounts up to the highs and rode them all the way down - and am still holding per my strategy. Again you are helping me to "fine-tune" and thanks.gA
