How do you define close in terms of time and points?

1 day? 1 month? 6 months? if it crashes in 2 months, will you claim to have accurately predicted it?
Quote from ghostzapper:

Within 1 month, and the upper parameter is that it stalls out at the old highs of 2000.

Greatest call in ET history!

The S&P stalled out exactly at the old highs of 2000. This is a classic thread !

This thread lays out the reasons ahead of time for the stock market top of 2007. In hindsight it seems all quite simple. If you take a close look at the posts on this thread, you will see there was ample chance to get in before the top, and ample profit to be made subsequently.

Any further dialogue would be great. if you do not learn from the past, you are condemned to repeat it.

I am not on et like I used to be, and I know many of you really miss me now.

But I do reread this thread, and I can be reached here.

Summary:

Blowshans 27 figure fantasy hedgefund that sells naked calls got wiped out because of the 35% short squeeze in the S&P 500 so he can only post on ET from the public library computer now.

I did not see the big peak in volume at the end of today's session. This probably means that shorts did not not cover.

However remember market turns when no one thinks it will. so if there are a lot of people saying, it will drop from here, that means it will not. I think a bunch of more stops will be hit, before this crappy overbought market reverses.

So if you are shorting, do not go full load. but have a little bigger stop loss

The S&P closed today @ 1503.2 and the technical indicators arte now signaling an intermediate term topping pattern right here.

Does anyone see the same thing ?

Great call.
