Hmmm On the 15th, SPY closed @ 150.57. The low on Thursday, the 24th was 150.74. I.e. anybody following your amazing call by going short ES, SPY or any other equivalent instrument was likely never ever in the green, not a single cent

You misunderstand these calls, there is a ton of money to be made , but only if you fade them .

Quote from Dr.Greenback:

No offense sir, But how can you possibly make a market call, or give a recommendation on the S&P 500 without knowing what ES means? It negates the validity of your analysis even if you are right. JMO

Anyone can guess, or listen to CNBC and hear them state how the S&P 500 is at, or approaching all-time highs.

That's why these top and bottom threads are ridiculous.

No offense taken sir. But might I suggest in the future you think before you speak. The ES is a"mini" instrument, or as Leona Helmsley says, "for the little people". If you are managing millions of dollars and have been around 10-20 years trading, your stock index future of choice is prob the S&P 500 futures.

Do you not know S&P 500 futures exist ? They do. And thats how I can make a statement about the S&P 500 w/o ever trading a single es.

Ok, now You are being ridiculous. Of course I what the S&P 500 Futures are, that's my point exactly. I know every derivative instrument of the S&P 500 and any trader who trades index futures should know also.

But, according to your logic, only the "little people" trade ES. Brilliant! And your excuse for not know what ES means is what? You've "Been Around" 10 to 20 years, which one is it? The fact that you appear uninformed on all derivatives of the S&P 500, yet claim to manage "millions of dollars" is frightening to say the least.

Just and observation not a pissing contest.

Yeh, only problem w this is that you ass/umed i called a top ON 5/15, whereas the title of the thread says " ..close.." So, I suggest you go back to the 1st grade and learn what the word "close" means.
Thank you for the kind explanation. If I had understood your message right in the first place I could have made millions. I'm kicking myself over the missed opportunity :(

Goodness, is this written in english ? I don't even know where to begin, except I will say that you have confused what I said in "general" to meaning I was referring to myself. I never said "I..." and I made no "claims". Please re-read my comment, and think before you piss.

ghost,

So if you called this top. 1527-1529 on the S&P, and if we blow thru that top again in up coming weeks. You will admit this is a wrong call?

Absolutely.

When i'm wrong, I always admit it.
And that doesn't just go for trading. It's a good philosophy to have in life.

Guaranteed that the s&p topped yesterday, and will not see that level for many, many months. I'm heavily short, and I know the s&p will be negative this year. The current s&p price is 1430.

Look out below!

how many points you down already this year? HAVENT YOU HAD ENOUGH ALREADY, throw in the towel this is worse than rocky 6....

Some degenerates just dont know when to stop the gambling....
