I don't want to make any theoretical points, perhaps it's different for people living there to revolt against the system but there is a lot of complicity as well because dictatorships bring stability and that's what the average man wants. China, Phillipines, Singapore, Middle East, Poland, Hungary, recently Italy have similar models. We can blame the dictators but essentially the government is a reflection of the people.
