I don't recall Ken Starr making such a monumental legal unforced error as Mueller has with the Russian indictments filings.

My guess is that Mueller never anticipated that there would be any sort of response from the Russians - but surprise surprise one of the defendants, Concord Management, hired some very heavy hitters in Reed Smith. In fact, two RS Partners have taken on the case and yesterday Mueller was soundly trounced in Court and put into a very tight spot.

Don't be surprised if Mueller drops the charges against them and claims it’s because the Discovery Information that RS has demanded and the Judge approved is “classified”. Mueller tried to delay the Court proceedings yesterday, but RS successfully argued that the defendants have a legal right to a speedy trial.

From what I've read Reed Smith caught Mueller flat-footed. RS is betting that Mueller does not have enough evidence to go to trial in such short order - which makes sense because Mueller unsuccessfully tried to postpone the trial.

And now Mueller has to put up or shut up.

Gawd, doesn't get any better than this. The sight of someone actually going on the offensive in this witch hunt is definitely worth the price of admission. That is the risk that Mueller runs with trump if trump does not want to interview and just goes full legal and give up this kabuki dance. Mueller can get scary with the indictment stuff but once his defense team says "go for it" Mueller knows that getting a conviction is a whole nuther matter and he has to do the deed or let history add another loss to his spotty record. Heh, he got dozens of people to flip on the Hells Angel case to avoid prosection - he squeezed all of them to get them to flip, problem was they didnt have anything incriminating to say. And Mueller squeezed a pile of people at Anderson Little and sent a bunch of executives to prison. Then the Supreme Court vacated their convictions 9-0. Oops.

Catch this little factoid and reflect on it a bit:

Yeh, you know it is just impossible to overstate how problematic that is legally. Of course he is not in court so does not need to worry about it- YET.

But Mueller could be the prosecutor in charge of an obstruction of justice case against Trump wherein his principle witness in the white house meeting is James Comey. And he is meeting privately with Comey to coordinate testimony. Even if they are just meeting for a drink to talk sports it is out of order and problematic beyond comprehension.

I will stop. But I will only say what I have said over and over and over. The party ends for him the minute he has to go into a court and people get to put on a real defense.

Sheesh. What the hell is the matter with him?
 
Mueller's idea of due process. Raid the president's lawyer's office on specious grounds, then leak the fruits of the raid. That way, mission accomplished even if a judge later quashes the search warrant.

Of course, he will claim it is the SDNY U.S. Attorney's office who is handling it. He referred it to them. Don't tell me he didn't greenlight the leak.

And why isn't the FBI investigating the leak and putting someone in jail or seeing them disbarred? Silly question, that would require an Attorney General and an honest FBI, two things Trump is having to do without.

I just saw an alert from CBS-Los Angeles that the California Bar was actively investigating Stormy Daniels lawyer and media darling Michael Avenatti.

How did 60 Minutes, Bill Maher, CNN, MSNBC, etc. etc. just ignore this guy’s background?

This is completely fucked.
