Russian stockmarket down 15% today

The Russian market lost 15%. They are afraid that Putin's government will now go around arresting other business executives and start disbanding their companies.

Quote from vanilla2:

i must be confused, was it the incarcerated tycoon's company that lost 15% or the entire russian stock market?

Business executives? Quite a nice euphemism for 'mafia'.

What options of Russian stocks are actively traded in US?
I was looking for YUkos and Lukoil, but I didn't find any?
Anyone trading options of Russian ADRs in US?

ok, so what are we gonna buy??

anyone have a list of ruskies listed here on US markets...??

Energies and industrials. The backbones first for safer gains. Or you could take some chances on the high techs.

The reason the Russian market is down 15% is because it's a bubble bursting. Not a big one, but still, stocks are overvalued ahead of their progress. It's just natural.

markets don't like it when the state interferes with private ownership of property; assets are repriced to adjust for the risks (i.e. risk of seizure, low productivity, liquidation, etc.).
