Russia does not care who wins the election because in the end, Russia will do what is in its best interest. Like in the proxy war in Ukraine, Joe Biden trying to subjugate Russia will all these sanctions? Russia and China just sanctioned the US and NATO countries over their attack on the Houthis. This is an economic war, nothing more. Russia and China can hurt the US in multiple ways economically, in retaliation. Joe Biden just too much of an idiot to see that.

Joe Biden has been warmongering and has refused to discuss peace talks to end the Ukraine war. Putin gave him multiple chances. President Donald Trump said he will end the Ukraine war and that might be a slight plus. However, the deep state warmongers will not let him develop better relations with Russia. They hate the Russians so much that they are willing to risk nuclear war with Russia. The reason the Russians say they are for Joe Biden is because they do not want to aid him in the coming elections. If they say, they want President Donald Trump, it will motivate all the extreme liberals to come out and vote against Trump. By saying they want Joe Biden, they might instead, stay at home and not vote at all. So, reverse psychology is what it is.
