Russia - US needs to work on race and media issues

Sadly, this guy below is correct. We need real leadership. Not platitudes and the use of race to fuel political agendas.

(an example ) CNN had van jones at the scene doing his typical pretend to give both sides but slant it left... and bascially provide not solution.

Then the guy from the NYTimes stated he was tried of this. bring the black guys on the air when the black guys riot... and make speeches and no one listens.
He stated he wanted real dialogue.

This reminds of the time when OReilly and Van Susteren and the conservatives and allen west and the other contributors on fox get marginalized by those with the megaphones.

I believe the NYT guy was serious and Don Lemon is serious... so they need to make sure that the black leaders and pelosi obama and reid get on board... instead of telling conservatives its none of the business... bring them into the conversation.

My solution...

In the end the solution is to get the community weened off the govt teat slowly.
Let people get jobs that encourage work by slowly phasing out benefits instead of eliminating them.

We just saw a microcosm of the same situation with unemployment benefits.
When the benefits run out people get jobs.

MOSCOW, August 20 (RIA Novosti) - The events in Ferguson, Missouri, should sober the US government or race-related conflicts may become more frequent, Russian Foreign Ministry Human Rights Commissioner Konstantin Dolgov said in an interview with Rossiya 24 news channel.

“We think US authorities should pay closer attention to burning internal problems, including those related to ethnicity and race that still exist in the United States. Try to solve them via legal constitutional practices rather than unjustified and inadequate violence,” Dolgov said.

“What is happening in Missouri right now should have a sobering effect on US society and authorities. They are systematic problems. They are by no means limited to one particular city or state,” the commissioner added.

Dolgov pointed out the regularity of such confrontations and warned of a possible increase in the frequency of the conflicts. At the same time, US authorities are failing to create a dialogue with US citizens, as they rely too heavily on the use of brutal force, according to Dolgov.

The Russian official also mentioned the way the Missouri authorities treated the media. Since the beginning of the protests, 11 members of the press have been detained while attempting to cover the events in Ferguson.

Dolgov said the police actions stemmed from a desire to avoid showing Americans images the US government deemed negative. This policy contradicts Washington’s promotion of freedom of speech that now appears to have been violated in the Unites States itself.

Ferguson, a predominantly African-American suburb of St. Louis, has been shaken by protests since the police killing of Michael Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old teenager, on a residential street on August 9.

African-American residents, about 65 percent of the local population, often complain about harassment at the hands of the police.

Missouri National Guard troops have been deployed to tackle the violence, which has grown fiercer, according to the police. Law enforcement officers have been criticized for using tear gas, rubber bullets and other heavy-handed measures.

LOL!!!!! This has been their tactic for years. They want to be able to commit any crime they wish with carte blanche." And they've won:(
The remaining Troopers I once worked with, who are nearing retirement now, all say, "blacks? Please! We roll up our windows, and ignore their crimes, only paying attention to the crimes we're FORCED to pay attention to. Give me a 9-5 white guy any day." Literally sets my ass on fire!!

And btw, I also believe Russia is correct here. I literally can't believe I'm in agreement with Russia vs the country I bled for... I've been in agreement with numerous points Russia has made the last few years. Yeah, a former US Marine Officer who sadly sees the common sense in Russia's commentary.:(
I need to go now so I can clean brain matter off the ceiling and walls, since top the top of my head just popped off again.:(:(

It's been a pretty ironic time for many of us who lived through the Cold War. Liberals have a lot of experience longing for leaders like Fidel Castro instead of republican presidents, but for conservatives, admiring the president of Russia more than our own president is a new experience.

Sure, we were "traitors" then, and you're the traitors now.

Good point. America has become so backwards that it's afraid to enforce justice because of the pervasive liberal climate.

Unless there are big changes, America will continue to decline and be vulnerable to her enemies.

Leader of congressional republicans makes racist jokes. Major scandal alert. Should be all over the weekend news shows. This could be real trouble in november.

Wait. It was Harry Reid. Never mind.
