Well then that sez it all believing Ruble, in a completely controlled closed-loop system, is really at all time highs. The Hunt Brothers back in the late 70's/early 80's got Silver to an alltime high similarly. Didn't work out too good for them though. Putin's time will come.

BTW did you also claim Moscow Stock Echange Index (MOEX) would stiiiiiiil be trading down near multi-year lows?

There are quite a few billion people that are opposed to war and invading sovereign countries to steal their resources and land and slaughter their people, including many Russians who are now in jail of course. When sanctions are available as an alternative to war, these billions prefer sanctions, and they will be willing to sacrifice a great deal to see that the sanctions work and to avoid war.
How many people do you have on your side; the side that favors invasion and slaughter.

Absolutely there is a much wider network of power i imagine we are not even aware of and their own self serving interests are not going to let Putin take steps that are irreversible. One of the main issues is mainstream media looking for sensational stories and fear to sell ads and papers that's the biggest issue of the lot.
