Not to worry Vatniks.

This cargo ship/ferry is doing just fine. Moscow reports that lots of drones were shot down by their superb aerial defenses. Don't get distracted by those one or two pesky little drones missiles that they did not shoot down.

Ruskies are complaining about civilians being killed. Solution: Don't travel on cargo ships or be near anything supplying the military. All of Russia is part of the war zone now. Similiarly if you are a civilian using the Kerch Bridge, you know that it is 100% within Ukrainian crosshairs and you could be dead anytime. So don't do that.

You got to give Zelensky credit for trying very hard to show Ukraine is winning. He has to get his licks in and propaganda like the Kursk invasion of his. So far, 5,100 dead Ukrainian soldiers in Kursk. There are reports that huge numbers of Ukrainian troops in Kursk are now surrendering. Ukrainian troops on the frontlines, refusing to fight the Russians and deserting in huge numbers. Even the sad saps being put up as cannon fodder are wising up. Otherwise, the tens of billions from the US will dry up. Carry on. I am sure the Russians have a few surprises for Zelensky waiting.

News related to the Ukraine war -- Russian propagandists have a heavy presence on Telegram. It is rumored that Telegram CEO Pavel Durov met with Putin in Azerbaidjan before flying to France (awaiting confirmation on this point).

PARIS, Aug 24 (Reuters) - Pavel Durov, billionaire founder and CEO of the Telegram messaging app was arrested at the Bourget airport outside Paris on Saturday evening, TF1 TV and BFM TV said, citing unnamed sources.

Durov was travelling aboard his private jet, TF1 said on its website, adding he had been targeted by an arrest warrant in France as part of a preliminary police investigation.

TF1 and BFM both said the investigation was focused on a lack of moderators on Telegram, and that police considered that this situation allowed criminal activity to go on undeterred on the messaging app.

Telegram did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment. The French Interior Ministry and police had no comment.

TF1 said Durov had been travelling from Azerbaidjan and was arrested at around 20:00 (18:00 GMT).

Telegram, based in Dubai, was founded by Russian-born Durov, who left Russia in 2014 after he refused to comply with demands to shut down opposition communities on his VK social media platform, which he sold.

Durov, who is estimated by Forbes to have a fortune of $15.5 billion, said some governments had sought to pressure him but the app, which has now 900 million active users, should remain a "neutral platform" and not a "player in geopolitics".
