Russia & Ukraine

With my usual caveat that I acknowledge that the Ukrainians are screwed blue and tattooed in a David and Goliath situation, I will nevertheless say:

Ruskies are having a bad day. Foreign troops on Russian soil for the first time since WW2 is not easy to digest for them.

In such times, I like to watch Babushka Skabeeva sweat a little. She always looks like she needs a good bonking- except only a drunken Ruskie would bonk her. Fortunately for her though, there is no shortage of drunken Ruskies in her area.

The funny thing is, Olga was getting a report from the front lines and the guy on the front put on a good face but toward the end it started to do downhill and Olga was grimacing a bit too much. So I thought "uh oh" it is usually about this time that Russian TV "loses their connection." Then boom. Right on schedule they lose connection. After a while you know how the Ruskies work and what the dance looks like. The government monitors all those programs and just shuts them out when interviews go downhill. You know, pretty much like what CNN does.

It is not just Kursk. The Russians are also evacuating Belgorod or the civilians anyway. Regular viewers may recall that I have for almost two years called for taking out Belgorod. It is major staging area, logistics and supply center and central command center for the whole frigging donbass and south region. Burn it to the fucking ground as soon as you can.

you can evacuate more or less the entire western half of russia and send all those people to eastern half.

because in the eastern half of russia only about 8 million people are living there.

and half of them in the vladivostok region - which is actually property of china.

so - more than enough free space

Vladimir Putin abruptly interrupted an acting regional governor who said Ukraine’s military had taken control of 28 towns and villages in Russia’s Kursk border region, prompting a sixth of its population to flee.

Alexey Smirnov said Ukrainian forces had penetrated at least 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) into the region and controlled a border area 40 kilometers wide before Putin cut him off at a televised meeting with defense officials on Monday, saying this was a matter for the military to assess.

'Reports by bourgeois Western sources that enemy troops have invaded Russia due to our weakness and incompetence are completely false, the Ministry of Defense said this morning. "In classical military terms, we are performing what's known as a 'retrograde advance' maneuver, in which we lure the enemy into a trap of our choosing, which in this case is most of the Kursk and Belgorod Oblasts," spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said this morning while chasing shots of Jack Daniels with hits from an opium pipe. "Depending on how badly we wish to defeat the enemy, we may choose to expand our trap to include St. Petersburg, Moscow, or even Siberia."'

Maybe just tell China if they leave Taiwan alone we are cool with them taking annexed Outer Manchuria back from Russia. That's a pretty good deal.
