Ah, so let me see if I get this straight. Because you know I - as a Floridian - am pleased with the performance of my governor, you automatically assume I support Putin's actions, dictatorship over democracy, and I'm against the rule of law, free press and women's rights? And you think that we can go into these topics in this thread, but we can't talk Israel and Palestine because this thread isn't about that.

I don't support Putin, but I also don't support spending US tax dollars in the Ukraine.
I prefer Democracy over Dictatorship.
I support the rule of law, free press and women's rights.

this - and many other obvious circumstances - are your problems.
Bombing Kerch and also planning to allow strikes inside all of Russia are part of a larger strategy to overwhelm Russia's air defenses. Right now, the Russians have done a good - not excellent- job of protecting the Kerch Bridge, for example, because they have put a lot of air defenses there. But if Ukraine and its allies start striking even more inside of the rest of Russia, then Russia needs to keep moving air defenses to all the other places that will be vulnerable. They don't have the air defenses to do all that without making other places more vulnerable. The strikes on the kerch bridge have been very intense. If Russia had to move even 10% of its air defenses in that area, that would have consequences. Or, instead, if they added 10%, then that will mean that more of Belgorod (example) will be vulnerable.
There is no free lunch for the Ruskies here. They are doing well but they are also using everything to do it.
And yes, Ukraine is taking a severe beating and I do not deny that. Just saying, they get to regroup and try other strategies just as the Russians did. The Ukrainians need to watch their arse- but so does Russia.
