This is the new way of waging war which is the use of drones, rockets, missiles and glide bombs. Tanks have become practically useless and even the Israelis are finding out the hard way that sending 200 tanks to Gaza is a huge mistake. Even the US with its aircraft carriers is vulnerable to attacks from numerous missiles. And those fighter jets? Air defense systems are shooting down the fighter jets on a regular basis in Ukraine on both sides. Enter the glide bombs, dumb bombs without guidance but, Russia added fins to the bombs enhancing their use. Now, they can be dropped from a bomber and travel a huge distance before hitting its target. Air defense systems cannot stop the glide bombs. Russians destroyed Avdiivka with those glide bombs and Ukrainians were running away as the bombs exploded on their positions.
Hey look, the appointed a career submariner as the new commander of the Black Sea Fleet. Which is quite appropriate considering that most of the Black Sea surface fleet is now submarines.
