Trump gave Ukraine lethal weapons after Obama was non committal
Trump appears to be echoing a critique leveled at the Obama administration by the late Republican Sen. John McCain. “The Ukrainians are being slaughtered and we’re sending blankets and meals,” McCain said in 2015. “Blankets don’t do well against Russian tanks.”
While it never provided lethal aid, many of the items that the Obama administration did provide were seen as critical to Ukraine’s military.
The Trump administration did approve the provision of arms to Ukraine, including sniper rifles, rocket launchers and Javelin anti-tank missiles, something long sought by Kiev.

When I read something (not referring to your particular post but in general) I look to find the opposite viewpoint to see which side is distorting (to put it mildly in many cases) the subject. Anyway links are almost always provided by many of us.
Of course I was aware of the fighter jet non-story. I just wanted to see which media you would provide a link to. Nowhere that I could find was a list of names of ALL 40 Republicans. Lousy media left or right when that happens.
But I did notice that of those prominent Republicans that were named they were the centrists (using that term lightly when it comes to the R'S) and let's just say nowhere near as far right as many others.

The Russians do not like withdrawing from Sevatopol or being vulnerable there for all the very obvious reasons.
The important thing that is less obvious is that the Russian's Plan B for supplying Crimea is (was?) to bring supplies in by sea through Sevastopol if the Kerch Bridge goes down. And if the rail line is cut either by the long range missiles or through Ukrainian's severing the land bridge, there is no way to supply Crimea. Not by bridge, not by rail, not by sea. Just sayin, bringing the Kerch Bridge down would have always been a crippling event for the Russians. But adding to that the fact that Sevastopol is not longer a viable Plan B would it make it even more impactful.

Russian naval assets are being shifted out of Sevastopol harbor in Crimea in the wake of the most recent blow to Russia's Black Sea holdings.
Knewz.com has learned that a Ukrainian cruise missile strike on Sevastopol's naval headquarters which left the landmark in shambles was the second of two jarring bombardments on the facility in under a week.

As a result, the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) naval command has made the decision to evacuate all seven heavy assault Ropucha class landing vessels, along with all missile submarines, from Sevastopol Harbor's confined waters.
These Ropucha class assault ships are believed to be Russia's main means of launching amphibious assaults in the Black Sea basin.
While the destination of these vessels was not officially acknowledged, open-source analyst Tom Bike reported the sighting of three landing ships in the enclosed waters of the Azov Sea, closer to Russia, per Kyiv Post.
As a result of Russia’s decision, satellite images show formerly busy military wharves in the bay almost devoid of warships.
