I get the idea behind it, to screw up the thermal image of the target that the Ukranian drones use to lock-on. Dunno' how effective it has been though. Anyone see any reports if it worked (is working)?

They could just build a concrete /steel hanger and push it in there. They can be built in a mere day for single plane hangars.

A basic hangar would provide better concealment and protection than a bunch of tires. Put up a bunch of them and rotate the planes among them like a shell game if you are worried about the hangars with planes being targeted by drones.
