Successful by your definition perhaps. Not sure how military might reflects "success" in any way other than in the sense of winning wars. Certainly does not add one bit to satisfaction and happiness. Rather the opposite, if you need to maintain such military complex to watch your backs perhaps there is some shit of the past that you are not proud of and are afraid of blowback. And economic success. Certainly true, if you define success as sacrificing all other values in the pursuit to worship money. I could easily name 100 countries where people appear way happier and content than folks in the US. That rat wheel and constant pressure to keep up with the rest must be tiring...

You’re entitled to have a negative outlook for the future of the USA, but you did not provide any valid arguments for why the USA would “go down” long before Russia. If we look at recent history we already had a collapse of the USSR where Russia was the leading republic.

Alexandr Lukashenko has placed his army on "full combat readiness" over fears of Russia's imminent collapse.

Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday about the Wagner revolt, he said: "I gave all the orders to bring the army to full combat readiness.

"I won't hide it, it was painful to watch the events taking place in southern Russia. I'm not the only one. Many of our citizens took [these events] to heart. Because the Fatherland is one.

"If Russia collapses, we will be left under the rubble, all of us will die."

At a separate speech in Moscow, Vladimir Putin admitted the mutiny was an "extremely dangerous situation".

"You can see that the army, society and people were one," he said during a speech in Moscow.

"This has allowed us to overcome the extremely dangerous situation that the country was in."

That's the thing with US lead initiatives. It never stops there, an ever growing corrupt gang of members who all need to worship the leader and can never disagree to stay under the umbrella. It's very dangerous to push foes into a corner they can't get out of.
