Russia & Ukraine

There are some sources claiming that Prigozhin has decided to call off the advance (e.g. Belarus' dictator). My main issue with that is that it makes absolutely no sense, he's already beyond the point of no return.

He does seem to be out ahead of his skiis a bit.

It's his game to play, not mine, but if he were to get bogged down in the Moscow area, I don't really see what his source of re-supply is. Hitherto, he has gotten all of his supplies from the Russian military. Where is he getting his re-supply now if he gets bogged down there?

The other thing that undoubtedly is preying on his mind is that Kadyrov's Chechen troops are on their way to Rostov to confront Wagner troops there, including Prigo who is still there. But Prigo has sent troops that he will need in Rostov up to Moscow. I don't doubt that he is beginning to rethink that a bit.

He's giving time for Poo to think things over.

Maybe because he was expecting more support from others to topple Poo and it isn't happening? Or not yet anyway?

I was talking to a senior Colombian* coronel today and he says it's not inconceivable Nato are considering bending articles 4 & 5 with a view to just fully boots into Ukraine or at a minimum a no fly zone. The level of instability in Russia is too great. No matter what happens now they have shit the bed.

*Colombia is a Nato regional partner.
